     FAQ

    EcoFlow DELTA Mini FAQ

Q: Does it support charging while using?
A: Yes, the DELTA Mini supports charging and discharging when charging in vehicles, portable solar panel, etc. However, when the battery of the machine is low or is about to run out, it is best not to output while connecting to DC charging (solar/vehicle charging); at this time, if the input of the power is less than or equal to the output power, the device will continue to consume power, which may result in power loss and eventually damage the battery.

Q: How can I know if the product is charging?
A: When it’s charging, the remaining charging time will be shown on the LCD Screen. Meanwhile, the charging indicator icon begins to rotate with the remaining battery percentage and the input power shown on the right of the circle.

Q:How does the Emergency Power Supply (EPS) work? And how fast is it?
A: When your portable power station is plugged into the wall, any electronics plugged into it are powered from the grid and not its battery. When power from the grid stops, as in a blackout, the power station automatically switches to battery power within 30ms.

Q: How do you clean the EcoFlow DELTA Mini?
A: Please gently wipe it with a dry, soft, clean cloth or paper towel.

Q:How do you find the router wifi at home?
A: 1. Press IOT Button again to try reconnecting with power station. 2. Use another phone hotpot as a router. If you can connect the device to the hotspot network, it means that your router Wi-Fi is not 2.4 GHz. In this case, you can modify the router setting.

    Q: Battery care and storage?
A: 1. Please use or store the product in an environment temperature between 20°C to 30°C, away from water, heat, and other metal objects. 2. For long-term storage, please discharge the battery to 30% and recharge it to 60% every three months; products that have not been charged and discharged for more than 6 months will not be covered by the free product warranty. 3. For safety, please do not store the product in an environment temperature higher than 45°C or lower than -10°C for a long time. 4. To prolong the battery life, please use the product in an environment temperature between 20°C to 30°C.

Q:How long can the product charge my devices?
A: The charging time is shown on the product’s LCD Screen, which can be used to estimate the charging time of most appliances with stable power usage.

Q:How many portable solar panels can I hook up to the DELTA Mini?
A: DELTA mini’s technical specs for solar input are: 300W, 11–75V DC, 10A max. In practical terms, you can connect multiple portable solar panels in series (i.e., connecting one panel directly to the next) as long as their combined open circuit voltage doesn’t go over 75V.

Q: Will it recharge from third-party portable solar panels?
A: Yes, DELTA mini is compatible with portable solar panels that are 10–75V DC, 10A max and that have solar connectors. We recommend using portable solar panels that have a combined wattage of around 300W.

Q: Can I use DELTA mini while it’s charging?
A: Yes, it can discharge while it’s recharging from an AC input, car outlet, or portable solar panel.

Q:Can I use it as a solar generator?
A: Yes, DELTA mini can be charged from portable solar panels, which is how many people understand solar generators. Call it what you will, but we prefer the term portable power station because DELTA mini doesn’t generate energy internally. As part of a portable solar panel kit, solar energy will be generated, so calling it a solar generator also works.

Q: What is the difference between DELTA mini and DELTA?
A: DELTA mini is lighter and smaller, and DELTA has a larger battery capacity (882Wh vs 1260Wh) and power output (1400W vs 1800W). The ability to charge from portable solar panels, vehicles, and wall outlets is the same. Upgrades we gave DELTA mini are support for the EcoFlow app and X-Boost, which lets you power some 2200W appliances.

Q: Can I jump my car battery with it?
A: You can! With our special accessory (coming soon), DELTA mini will double as a portable battery booster.

Q: How long does the the DELTA Mini last?
A: All rechargeable batteries lose capacity over time but how fast depends on the battery. In ideal conditions, DELTA mini’s battery will have 80% health after 800 cycles; most phone batteries and portable power stations reach 80% health after only 500 cycles.

Q: What is the difference between DELTA mini and RIVER mini?
A: While both draw inspiration from bigger models, the two are quite different. DELTA mini’s 882Wh capacity and 1400W output make it ideal for powering multiple power tools, special equipment, and home electronics at once. RIVER mini has less capacity and output because it’s much smaller and much lighter.

    Q: What is X-Boost?
A: X-Boost is an EcoFlow technology that lets you power an appliance with a wattage above the portable power station’s normal output. In this case, DELTA mini can power electronics totaling 1400W without X-Boost, but with this feature enabled, you can power electronics totaling 2200W. X-Boost is not for everything, especially not sensitive devices. We recommend using it for things with a heating element that you don’t mind working at a slightly lower temperature.

Q: Can I use all of the wall-outlet sockets at once?
A: Sure! But make sure the combined wattage of your electronics doesn’t go over 1400W unless you want to use X-Boost.

Q: Can I connect two DELTA mini’s together?
A: You can recharge one DELTA mini with another, but both units will use up some energy in the recharging process. You’ll save battery capacity if they’re not linked

Q: Can I use the extra battery units from another model with DELTA mini?
A: DELTA mini doesn’t support extra battery units.

Q: Will it back up my house during a power outage?
A: DELTA mini’s battery capacity is best suited for backing up only a few appliances during a blackout such as fridges, personal medical devices, and the comforts of home.

    220W Solar Panel FAQ

    Q) Does the Bifacial Solar Panel generate a full 220W of power?
    A) In most cases, it is normal for a solar panel not to deliver its full nominal power. Some of the reasons why this happens, as well as some suggestions for getting closer to the nominal power figure, are given below. 1. Light Intensity. The amount of light shining on the panel will result in fluctuations to the power output. You are more likely to achieve nominal power output figures closer to those obtained under test conditions when using the product on a clear day during the midday sun, than when using the product in the morning or later in the afternoon. Weather conditions will also affect the amount of sunlight that shines on the panel. For example, you are much less likely to achieve the figures for nominal power in hazy, cloudy or rainy conditions. 2. Surface Temperature. The temperature of the solar panel surface will also affect the amount of power generated. The lower the surface temperature of the panel, the more power will be produced. For example, solar panels generate more power when used during the winter than during the summer, and this is completely normal. Solar panels generally reach temperatures close to 60°C (140°F) during summer. This reduces nominal power by 13%, despite the higher levels of light shining on the panel. 3. Sunlight Angle. In optimal light conditions, the sun’s rays should remain perpendicular to the surface of the panel for best performance. Power output is only marginally impacted by sunlight hitting the panel within 10° either side this 90° angle. 4. Panel Shading. The surface of the solar panel should not be shaded during use. Shading caused by shadows, foreign objects and glass can all greatly reduce power output. Performance Issues Caused by Malfunctioning Panels: If the panel still isn’t generating power or its output remains far below expected nominal power figures after addressing the issues above, there may be an issue with the panel itself. Please contact Customer Support for assistance.

    Q) How much power can the 220W Bifacial Solar Panel generate under normal conditions?
    A) This depends first and foremost on weather conditions. Generally speaking, on a clear day with no clouds in the sky, sunlight hitting the panel at a 90° angle usually generates 160W–180W of power in the 220W panel. (Current light conditions are normally 800W–900W/m2 (74.3W–83.6W/ft2) with a panel temperature of 50°C (122°F) under test conditions. Nominal power ratings are based on 1000W/m2 (92.9W/ft2) in AM1.5 conditions with a panel temperature of 25°C (77°F) under test conditions. Power output figures close nominal values were normally observed in the midday sun during the winter.)

    Q) What should I know about the operating temperature, storage and use of the 220W Bifacial Solar Panel?

    A) The operating temperature of the Bifacial Solar Panel is -20°C–85°C (-4°F–185°F). The panel should be folded into its original shape and stored in its Protective Case (Kickstand), which provides sufficient protection for the product. To extend the service life of the panel, ensure that the product is not exposed to external forces/impacts when not in use. The solar panel itself is made of glass and must not be dropped, pierced, bent, or sat on. These actions may break the glass and render the panel unusable. Any such damage will not be covered by the free warranty.

     Q) The 220W Bifacial Solar Panel has two sides. How can I tell which side is which, and how can I optimize power generation using the rear side of the panel?
    A) The front side of the Bifacial Solar Panel has a junction box. This side of the panel generates power by being positioned perpendicular to the sun’s rays. Since the rear side of the panel faces away from the sun, it does not generate electricity in the usual way. Generally speaking, the rear of the panel uses ambient light to increase the overall performance of the product by up to 5%-25%. This figure is higher if mirrors are used, or when ambient light levels are high. Using the product with the rear side of the panel facing the sun generates 80% of the power when compared to using the front side. Using the panel in this way does not have a negative effect on the product.

    Q) Can I use non-EcoFlow branded power station with the 220W Bifacial Solar Panel?

    A) Yes, but only certain types. The power station used must be compatible with MC4 standards in order to work properly. In addition, other brands of power station may not offer the same levels of compatibility as EcoFlow-branded power stations, may have lower nominal power ratings, and may not offer the same levels of performance.

    Q) Can I connect both 110W and 220W Bifacial Solar Panels together in series?
    A) Yes, but this is not recommended. While the voltages of the two panels are identical, the current ratings are not. This means that when the panels are connected in series, the current will be limited to that of the 110W panel and the full performance potential of the 220W panel cannot be released, resulting in a 1+2<3 scenario. Please purchase panels of the same size if you intend to connect multiple panels in series.

    Q) Can I connect 220W Bifacial Solar Panels in parallel?
    A) Yes, but this is not recommended. 220W solar panel have a maximum current rating of 12A. Though these panels can be connected in parallel, DELTA and RIVER series power stations only support a maximum current of 12A. Parallel connections increase power output by doubling the current, but connecting the panels in this way would result in a 1+1=1 scenario whereby the current is limited to 12A by the connected devices. We do not recommend connecting the panels in parallel, unless you use a different brand of power station with an input current of 20A or above.

    Q) What should I do if my solar panel isn't charging my portable power station?
    A) 1. Please note that solar panels must be placed outdoors. They cannot charge a power station if placed indoors without exposure to sunlight.

    2. Check whether there is a connection issue and then try again.

    3. Confirm whether the input voltage and amperage match the specification of the portable power station. Also, check whether the positive and negative terminals are connected in reverse.

    4. Check the display for error prompts and resolve the issue accordingly.

    5. Third-party cables longer than 3 meters should have a wiring harness with a diameter of 6.5 mm and a wire diameter of 4 mm², otherwise there will be no input power on the display screen.

    6. If the solar panel still does not work properly after trying the above steps, connect the portable power station to a car outlet using the XT60 port. Contact after-sales for help and send a video of the steps you have carried out.

    Q) Why does the solar panel have such a low output?
    A) Charging power is affected by the strength and angle of the light. To increase output power, choose a time of day when the sunlight is strongest (hours around noon), and keep the solar panel positioned 90° to the sun. Try not to use the solar panel on cloudy days or in shaded areas.

    Q) What do you need to pay attention to when storing solar panels?
    A) When storing the solar panels, be careful to fold the solar panels and then put them in the bag with the junction box and wiring harness facing upward.

    Q) What do I need to pay attention to when using solar panels?
    A) 1. The operating temperature range of the solar panels is -20 to 85°C (-4 to 185°F). Handle them gently during use, and avoid dropping, puncturing, or bending them.

    2. Do not use solar panels on cloudy or rainy days. It is not recommended to use solar panels when light levels are low, because the input power is very low.

    Q) Do EcoFlow power stations work with third-party solar panels?
    A) Yes, if the solar panel (1) has MC4 connectors and (2) has an output amperage, voltage, and wattage that the EcoFlow portable power station can support.

    Q) Do EcoFlow solar panels work with third-party products?
    A) Yes, if they (1) can connect via an MC4 connector and (2) can support the amperage, voltage, and wattage that an EcoFlow solar panel outputs.

    Q) How should I use the solar panels?
    A) 1. Get the most solar power by facing your panel perpendicular to the sun without obstructions like trees or glass in between.

    2. Use the carrying case to set your solar panels at an angle when the sun is lower in the sky (early morning or late afternoon), and lay them flat in the hours around noon.

    3. Solar panels are most effective when the sun is high in the sky.

    Q) What are the solar panels made from? What is their waterproof rating?
    A) They’re made from monocrystalline silicon which is more efficient than polycrystalline. New materials like EVA and ETFE protect against high temperatures, corrosion, sunlight, as well as damage, which ensures that they can be used outdoors for long periods. They have a waterproof rating of IP67 and are also resistant to dust and UV rays.

    Q) EF 110W Solar Panels Output Power?
    A) 1. The solar panel's output power is about 80% of the rated power in strong, vertical sunlight. For example, a 110W solar panel has an output power of around 90W.

    2. In partially cloudy weather, approximately 20-30W.

    3. 5-10W in cloudy weather.

    4. Raining/evening: 0W

When the current input power of the solar panel is very low, charging with solar power is not recommended. The standby power consumption may be higher than the input power, causing the battery voltage to leak and damage the battery.
